When you first became a CommPros customer, what expectations did you have from us and have we met those expectations?

We were looking for a telecommunications company who would be able to provide responsive, timely service if we experienced any issues, problems or questions. Since we are a co-ed day and boarding school, we knew that we were looking to have telephones installed in every classroom. Furthermore, we wanted to utilize our telephone system as an intercom and school bell. CommPros knew what our needs were and was very helpful getting our system installed and transitioning us to learn this new system. CommPros has not just met our expectations, they have exceeded our expectations by far! We are located outside of Providence, RI and CommPros is located near Boston. Although they are not right down the road from us, the distance makes no difference; CommPros always services us in a timely fashion and provides excellent service too!

What aspects of the phone system have been beneficial to your business?

There are so many aspects of our telephone system that have come in handy and have been useful to us that we cannot say enough about how happy we are. Having a telephone in every classroom has been extremely useful and enhances safety as well as more efficient communication. In the past, if a message needed to be delivered to a teacher, we would have to walk around campus to hand-deliver the message. Now, we can call a teacher in the classroom to deliver a message. We also eliminated pay phones around the school, which was getting to be rather costly. We have added extra phones along with our system and replaced the pay phones with lobby phones. This is great for the students because they can make an outgoing call for a cab or a pizza without having to use a pay telephone. Finally, we have a bell system configured to our telephone system too which has been such a benefit.

Can you elaborate more about the bells ringing to the telephone system?

Prior to working with CommPros, we did not have a school bell or an intercom system. In the morning, we would synchronize our watches accordingly to know when classes, as well as the school day, ended. Adding a school bell, which makes a buzzing sound through the phone system, has allowed us to know when a class or the school day ends. The bells also do not have to ring on the same schedule all the time either. The bells can be customized for various schedules such as during exam time when the bells would not ring on a regular class schedule. Having implemented the bell system through our telephones has been such a plus for us-- it makes life easier and eliminates having to look at your watch all the time.

A new arts center, The McCulloch Center for the Arts, was recently dedicated to the school and will be used by students and faculty this fall. What effect will CommPros have on the arts center?

The jacks are in place at the arts center but the phones have not been installed yet.. We'll be adding phones and moving extensions around in the arts center. CommPros has been very helpful with us in evaluating how many phones we'll need for the arts center. This will be the next job that CommPros works on at the school. I am not worried about putting phones in at the arts center because I know it will go just as smoothly as all the other work CommPros has done for us!

If your school was writing a report about us, would you recommend us to a friend?

We have already told a number of schools about CommPros and how happy we are having them as our telecommunications provider. CommPros staff is very professional, very knowledgeable about their industry, and works very neatly. The wiring was done so well and all the lines were clearly marked. It is so helpful to know where everything is. CommPros accurately plans with us by going over what our needs are. They not only listen to, but also find a solution to, how we want the phone systems configured. We know there are no worries when CommPros is doing a job for us, and we have let other schools know this too!
